This Independence Day is especially meaningful as our nation celebrates 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. For 250 years, generations have dreamed, built businesses, served their communities, protected our freedoms, and created places where people belong. As we celebrate America's birthday, let's also celebrate the people who make our communities special—the small businesses, local makers, volunteers, first responders, military families, neighbors, and everyone who chooses kindness every single day.

Happy Heavenly Birthday to my incredible Nana, who celebrates on the Fourth of July. Thank you for your unconditional love, wisdom, strength, and for always reminding us what matters most. We hope this year brings you endless joy, good health, laughter, and beautiful memories.

And Happy Birthday to my amazing nephew, who is proudly serving our country in the United States Navy. We are so proud of the man you've become and grateful for your service and sacrifice. We pray for your safety, strength, and happiness, and hope you know how deeply loved and appreciated you are.
